So the time has come where two things happened:
- IFASA needed a new site, portal, vortal or whatever you want to call this, and;
- I had a little time on my hands. And I wish to emphasize little.
- I got suckered ah, I mean hooked into completing this way before I had planned to.

Okay, three things. But who's counting? So here we are. But all that aside, here are some things to expect down the line:
- As this site is totally built in Drupal - it has extremely powerful and flexible features bar-none.
- It is an ever evolving process and most likely will always be.
- As we get more facilities over time due to the wonderful sponsors, members and philanthropists, they will be announced in real time. Right here!
- You as members get to contribute - whenever and however you want.
So in a nutshell, for members the following facilities will become available as we progress:
- Your very own member page. You can even put a video or two, along with photos and your bio on such a page.
- You will be able to access and contribute to various forums. Some of you will even be able to start your own forums and message boards.
- Some of you will be able to blog not only on the IFASA blog, but even start your very own blog, right here at this site.
- Some of you will do absolutely nothing, nada, niet - and that's okay too. (As long as you come over and see what's up once in a while - at least that!)
- Our Calendar - this will be maintained by IFASA admins. So if you have an event or top-secret operation that we should post on the calendar - let us know.
- You can set up polls - for inquiring minds that need to see what everyone else thinks about something.
- Some of you will be able to create and publish what we call books. Basically a book is a book. You know. A sequence of pages in a certain order that make sense when it is all said and done.
- Some of you will be able to create a story. Unlike a book, that may simply have related pages, a story forces the sequence to be in order. So to elaborate more on a book vs. a story - a book could be a manual containing several pages on "how to". A story could be the same - but a book can also be a group of related "how to" videos that are not necessarily in a certain order, but yet related. So a book, could also be a story, but lots more flexibility.. I could go on and on about this, but you'll figure it out sooner or later.
All in all, this is just the start...of something big.... really big.... I can feel it in my bones..
