During her undergraduate education in Psychology and Criminal Justice, Rosie worked part-time at a professional photo-development company where she started to learn about photographs. Fueled by all of the great photography she was seeing and developing day in and day out, Rosie decided to pick up her first camera, a Canon AE-1. Shooting everything in sight, she was learning more and more about composition, light, and the technical aspects of photographs. Starting their own commercial photography studio, Rosie and her husband shot thousands of images over several years.
During that time, Rosie was invited to take still photographs for a movie set in Los Angeles, which was the first time she had ever encountered the behind the scenes of a video production. Upon returning home, she became more involved in the local independent movie business, learning more and more on each project. In 2007, Rosie also completed her Masters in Business Degree, which helped to strengthen her business and management skills.
Leaving the cold Mid-West behind, Rosie and her husband moved to Tucson where she had the opportunity to immerse herself in the local filmmaking community. Her experiences in owning and operating her own photo studio has proven invaluable in understanding nearly all aspects of production; from casting, to scheduling, to finished product.
Rosie is currently working in Tucson and surrounding areas as a Freelance Producer, Line Producer, and/or Production Manager/Coordinator, with her specialty being Pre-Production. Current projects include Producing three Television pilots and one feature film. She is also involved as a Production manager on 3 other feature films, National and Local Commercials, Music Videos, Corporate Documentaries and several Shorts. In 2011, two of the projects Rosie worked on won Addy Awards; a Gold in Tucson and a Silver at Nationals for an adidas commercial; and a National Gold Addy Award for a Dorito's commercial.
